One of the original 90s shoegaze trailblazers is back with a new album this week, and I’ve been hooked on this single. ‘Last Frontier’ is a grand track that nods to that iconic Lush-mbv-Galaxie 500 era while dipping into early 00s rock. The instrumental takes you on a shoegaze-y flight into the sunset.

Already Lost - Adrianne Lenker
One of my most anticipated albums of the year, Bright Future hit hard with this emotionally wailing track. The gutted, empty room sound Lenker is known to create shines through on this one. It listens like a fuzzy daydream, hugging you but drawing a few longing tears.

Limited Edition - Cusp
Time for some nnnnnoiiiissssseeeeee. Your ears will be ringing and your head banging to that slowly building tempo. Chicago is running the rock scene right now, and Cusp is partially to blame with this statement debut album. ‘Limited Edition’ serves as the star child of noise rock and dream pop.

Lone Star Lake - Waxahatchee
The most iconic and recognizable voice in the game right now. Listening makes me feel like I grew up on a Kansas farm out in the sticks. You all know my soft spot for the yodel-y, twangy, folky tunes. I enjoyed this new album but more specifically, this track.

NEW CRUMB with a new album on the way. What a pleasant surprise. This is the palindromic title track of their upcoming album AMAMA. I love the single art, album art, and this groove. It’s cosmic and funky with a touch of drum-fill-y indie psychedelic rock. Another 2024 album to look forward to.
